How to I turn Google Analytics data into a to-do to improve my blog?

That’s a great question Deb! It depends a little bit on what you are trying to accomplish. Are you looking for deeper engagement in your site, more traffic, or are you trying to guide people to a specific page on your site (a sales, contact, or information page)? The answer to this question will give you which direction you should go.

I would suggest that you review your Analytics traffic several times per week and look at these key factors: unique visitors and traffic sources, your bounce rate, and your highest trafficked pages. This info is a good starting point. If your traffic is low, then you need to work on increasing your links and/or advertising. If your bounce rate is high, then you need to change the content of your site to match what your customers are looking for, and guide them to the pages that they need to find.

Does that help?
